STATEMENT OF PRACTICAL
TREATMENT

If swallowed: If the patient is unconscious, maintain breathing and heartbeat (CPR: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Contact your local Poison Control Center, hospital or physician immediately.

If patient is conscious: Induce vomiting with syrup of Ipecac (if not available, stimulate the back of the throat with finger). Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person Contact your local Poison Control Center, hospital or physician immediately.

If in eyes: Flush with plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists.

Caution: Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

ENVIRONMENTAL
HAZARDS

For terrestrial uses, do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark.

This pesticide is toxic to birds and fish.Wildlife feeding on treated bait may be killed. Do not contaminate water by cleaning equipment or disposal of waste. Do not feed to livestock or poultry. Do not mix with livestock or poultry feed. 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

USE RESTRICTIONS

Do not use where food (grain or meat) might become contaminated.

Avitrol must not be exposed in any manner that may endanger desirable and protected bird species. If there is a  question of such a hazard, consult [the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service] before undertaking bird management with Avitrol.

Investigate local laws that may prohibit the use of any toxic chemical in bird control.

Applicators shall wear gloves and use scoop when mixing, applying and broadcasting this product.
 

STORAGE & DISPOSAL

Do not Contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal

1. STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store in original container only. Store apart from food or animal feed and protect against rodent penetration of the carton. Store apart from other pesticides, fertilizers, food or feed that may cause cross contamination of odor or insect infestation.

2. DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance. Completely empty liner by shaking and tapping sides and bottom to loosen clinging particles. Empty residue into application equipment. Then dispose of the liner in a sanitary landfill or by incineration if allowed by State and Local authorities. If drum is contaminated and cannot be reused, dispose of in the same manner.

PREBAITING DIRECTIONS

This product must not be applied where non target birds are feeding.

Baiting Directions

Where uneaten bait may be a hazard to other birds or animals, it should be picked up at the end of each day. Pick up and dispose of dead birds by burial.This product must not be applied where non-target bird species are feeding. Note that retreatment may also be necessary after rainfall.
