Distal alignment pin screwed in.

Leg pin inserted in to planned mid tib/fib fracture point.

Tib/fib carefully fractured immediately distal to pin at mid point.

Tib/fib rotated into position and pin fully inserted past fracture point.

Proximal alignment pin screwed in.

All pin external lengths bent to 90 degree angle.
Alignment pin external lengths cut so that ends contact each other.
Epoxy putty is used to bond alignment pin external lengths to each other

Putty is first kneaded to mix epoxy and hardener and then molded over pin external lengths bonding them together to stabilize tib/fib realignment.
Another view of epoxy putty bonding the alignment pin external lengths together.  Orange lines indicate location of pin lengths encased by the putty.
